Central Jakarta Health Accelerates COVID-19 Vaccination

Central Jakarta Health Sub-agency continues to accelerate COVID-19 vaccination for residents in 8 sub-districts.

We are targeting to vaccinate 1,200 residents a day in each sub-district until the end of June

Central Jakarta Sub-agency Head, Erizon Safari conveyed, his side through health center (Puskesmas) team along with urban village and sub-district heads intensively carried out positive socialization to the public to ward off hoax about vaccine.

"We are targeting to vaccinate 1,200 residents a day in each sub-district until the end of June," he stated, Monday (6/7).

In order to achieve the target, his side expanded COVID-19 vaccination segment by targeting pre-elderly residents aged 50-59 years, including residents in 98 slum RWs and integrated areas, retail workers and SMEs.

Through collaboration with all stakeholders in Central Jakarta, he is optimistic that it can give positive impacts, thus many people can be vaccinated.

"The role of RT, RW, and three pillars is very helpful in socializing and encouraging residents to be vaccinated," he mentioned.
